12 Hours of Pain & Purpose

January 23rd, 2010

12 Hours of Mountain bike racing in Papago Park, Tempe, AZ. 8 Mile loop both on single track and horse trails and board-walk. Start from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with solo's single speed and geared, teams of 2 or 4 person. Males, Female and Coed Teams. Corporate teams scored together.

Race is to raise funds for the Sydney Hudson Foundation. Sydney passed away at the young age of 10. It is the purpose of this event to help other special needs children and their families. Come and join us and lets help these special children. Great training for endurance 24 events and other 12 hour events. Unique racing format: Every rider must switch after each lap. No multiple laps, unless you're riding solo only. This requires a true team effort. Short 8 mile loop requires fast pace and quick changes. This event will test even the best athletes as the course offers some steep climbs and fast trails. Great for beginners as the course avoids all the technical sections but offers more hills and speed.
