Ford Ironman Kids Fun Run Presented by Chances for Children AZ & East Valley Tribune

Date: November 21st
Time: 8 a.m.
Where: Race Start off Rio Salado near Ford Ironman finish line.
Packet Pick-up: Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Sole Sports Running Zone Friday at Tempe Beach Park Expo, Chances for Children Booth 10-5 p.m. Saturday morning: At race start location: 6:00-7:30 a.m.

Course Details: Run Course will start on Rio Salado west of the Ironman Finish Line. Kids will run west on Rio Salado down to the Tempe Arts Center entrance. Continue straight through the Arts Center parking lot to the south side of the lake boardwalk. Turn right (east) and head back to Tempe beach Park. Run through Tempe Beach Park and back to the Ironman Finish Line (Map).
T-Shirts: T-shirts will be ordered 2 weeks before the event, so if we have a large number register last minute, we may run out. We will take names from anyone who does not receive a t-shirt and mail to you.
Food and Beverages:T he course will have Gatorade and Water at Tempe Arts Center and at the finish line. Finish will also have various foods.
Volunteers: If you or anyone you know are interested in volunteering for the Kids Run, please contact: Timothy Bolen at timothybolen@cox.net. Tim will allocate a job position for you. Thanks to all of our volunteers, we couldn't do it without them.
Special Thanks: To Ford Ironman for allowing us to partner with them to host this fun and scenic kids run. This would not have happened without their support and approval.

Time: 7 a.m.
Place: Between Tempe Arts Center and Tempe Beach Park on the Boardwalk
Packet Pick-up: Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Sole Sports Running Zone Friday at Tempe Beach Park Expo, Chances for Children Booth 10-5 p.m. Saturday morning: At race start location: 5:00-6:30 a.m.
Categories: 1-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65+
Award Time: 8:30 a.m. or after the kids fun run which ever comes first!
Course Details: Run Course will start on the Sidewalk next to the lakefront just west of the Train Bridge overhead. Runners will continue west to Priest Dr. Proceed north on Priest to the north side of the lake. Follow the sidewalk east all the way back to Mill St Bridge. Take Lakeview Dr. north and loop back to Mill Street. Head south on Mill Street back to Tempe Beach Park. Run through the park and straight to the Ford Ironman Finish line off Rio Salado. (Map)

Timing: Timing will be handled by Mike Melley ad Kimo Seymour owners of Red Rock Company. They will use a chip system, so each runner is responsible for returning the chips at the finish line. Chip cost is $75 if not returned.
