Athlete: Dan Springborn

Dan Springborn Born: Cleveland, Ohio 1978
Hometown: Kingman, AZ
Triathlon Start: April 2005
Specialty: Olympic to Ironman Distance
Education: BS Mechanical Engineering
Profession: Project Manager for Trade Show Company

I started my Triathlon career in 2005. I went to Tempe to watch the inaugural Ironman and I was hooked. The following weekend I participated in the Lake Havasu Olympic Triathlon. I came from a running background, and I had just started cycling a year prior, however, swimming was something I would need to learn as I never swam for a purpose. After my first race I was introduced to an Arizona Triathlon legend, Dick Tomlin who was able to help me in all 3 areas, especially swimming. Dick had a love for the sport that he shared and passed onto me. I love training, I love racing, I love the sport, I love the people and the spirit that Triathlon brings out in everyone! I love Tim!

Tim has the spirit! In working with Tim I have developed as an athlete and grown as a person. Tim has a passion for helping others, and he uses that passion to help you reach your goals. Your goals become his goals! Every time I see an email from Tim or his name on my phone I get excited, knowing that I get to work with an amazing Coach! Tim goes above and beyond to make sure that you are getting the best coaching and experience that he can possibly offer. Tim has shared his experiences and knowledge with me, helping me to reach my goals. In working with Tim I feel as if I am a professional triathlete, my workouts are designed for me, and if I have a question or a bad workout, I let Tim know and we adjust my training.

I have been coached by Tim now for about 18 months and I have seen dramatic improvements in all areas. With Tim in my corner I know that I will make it to Kona, and achieve my goals as an athlete and a person!
