I've been swimming for the past 17 years. I started cross training (bought a bike & started running a couple of laps around the track) while preparing for a Grand Canyon hike and enjoyed the variety. After receiving encouragement from some truly inspirational friends, I competed in my first tri and had a lot of fun. Even though I am very new to the sport, I want to see what I can accomplish; there is no greater feeling than achieving a lofty goal.
