Athlete: Kerry Camberg

Kerry Camberg Born: October 29, 1969
Age: 39
Occupation: Stay at home parent

I did my first triathlon in Oct 2004. I choose the race because it was before my 35th birthday, not knowing what mountain biking would entail. Tim patiently helped me identify the course and stay upright. After some anxiety in the water, fear on the bike and blazing past younger men on the run I crossed the finish line and fell in love with triathlons. Running has been my strength and favorite sport. Each time I swim I just hope to get to the finish. I am highly addicted to Tim's Tuesday night spin class, I have been known to bring my children and bribe them with Bahama Bucks when I don't have someone to watch them.

My husband and 7 year old son have both done some triathlons. My daughter Katherine looks forward to doing one in 2009. Both kids love doing the running program I coach at their school. I was blessed to have Tim coach me for my 1st Ironman in 2007. I was out most of 2008 due to an injury but have made a strong recovery. I look forward to seeing where I can go with my running and having fun while doing it.
